The dark nights are creeping in, and it’s almost time to be going out to the store to grab recipe ingredients, face paints, and all-things-scary! Next thing you know, it will be time to start collecting wood, ready for a Bonfire Night (5th November). This year is going to be a largely celebrated occasion. After all, we have last year’s Halloween Season to catch up on!

We’ll be talking all-things-Halloween, including décor, face paints, costumes, recipes, and party ideas. There’s nothing more exciting than grabbing some seasonal inspo and making your aesthetically spooky dreams come true.

1. Interior Decor

First, we need to discuss the interior décor we’re all going to be filling our houses with. Decorating the inside of our homes has become one of the biggest trends since taking pictures of our breakfasts. While showing off our coffees and avocado on toast is still a thing, it’s not quite as popular as showing off our new interior design purchases and transformations! We’ve had a lot more time over the past twelve months to give our homes that much-needed glow-up, and we’re not about to stop paying attention to them now.

October season gives us many reasons to decorate the house. The trends are beautifully Autumnal and warm, which is just what we need as the weather gets colder closer to Winter. And when it comes to Halloween time, our little ones return home with more than enough Halloween-inspired pictures and paintings. (To all parents out there, we know what your fridge looks like!)

And, Etsy is an online store you can always count on to have unique and inivative ideas for seasons like this one. Their Halloween Home Decor collection is to die for. Let’s get the eerie inspiration flowing and join in with the Halloween décor like never before!

2. Exterior Decor

When it comes to exterior décor, the possibilities are endless. You can go subtle with a few pumpkins of different colours, or you can go all out with cobwebs, spiders, ghosts, mummies, and spooky lanterns. Make your house aesthetically Halloween-inspired this October, spread it over the front door and all over your garden. Your little ones will be begging to get their mates to trick or treat at the scariest, most decorated house in the area!

We suggest opting for the ‘going all out’ route! Let your imagination fly and inspire the street with some spectacularly spooky décor. Pop to the shops and grab yourself some pumpkins, trick or treat bowls, and even a Halloween Standing Headless Butler from Aldi! Get the neighbours talking with some spine-chilling exterior inspiration, and soak up the glory this Halloween.

3. Face paints

One of the first things we prepare for Halloween is our costume and face paint ideas. The face paints alone can be the making of your Halloween costume. Before you go ahead with any tutorials or DIY spooky make-up guides, make sure you are at the ready with face paint, sponges, and brushes. There are some brilliant face paints and cosmetics from The Range that are perfect for this year’s Halloween efforts. These tools will allow you to go above and beyond with your spooky face transformation!

A super helpful place to find face paint ideas is Argos. Give these scary face paint ideas a try, and remember to add your own, personal and creative touch to each option with different patterns, extra colour, and glitter. Our favourite has to be the Halloween Witch Make-up as there’s no harm in showing off your sparkle as well as scaring the people in your local area for the night!

Now that you’re all kitted out with face paint ideas, you’ll be halfway towards completing your dark and sinister look. If you’re ready to take the plunge and go all out this Halloween, then you’re definitely in the right place for some brilliant costume ideas. If you’d like to stick with the face paint but would like to dabble in the Halloween outfit options, Shein is the place for you. This Halloween Pumpkin and Spiderweb Print Lantern Sleeve Dress is everything to do with Halloween, without the face paint down your leg or the sacrificed white shirt covered in fake blood.
