Dad The Dish’s Double Dipped BBQ Tomahawk Steak

Summertime BBQ Steak Recipe

  • Tomahawk Steak
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Barbecue Sauce
  • Olive Oil


Firstly, heat your barbecue to at least 250c and lift your steak out the fridge 20 minutes before cooking.


Season your tomahawk with salt and pepper and some olive oil on both sides (and the fat too!).


Depending on weight and thickness, cook for 5-6 minutes per side until you have fantastic grill marks and the outside is slightly charred


Lift the steak out, cover with barbecue sauce and add back on to the grill for a further 1 minute per side or until the sauce has started to get tacky.


Lift it back off the grill and cover again with barbecue sauce, cook for a further minute per side.


Rest the steak and then serve!
