Dracula Blood Punch

- 2 litres of cherry juice
- Peel from 3 oranges
- 1 thumb-sized red chilli
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 10 cloves
- 6 slices of ginger
- Dracula’s fang sweets for serving
- For alcoholic punch:
- 200ml of vodka, or 25ml per glass
Tip the cherry juice, chilli, cinnamon stick, ginger, garlic and orange peel into a large saucepan. Simmer for around 5 minutes and then turn off the heat.
Leave to cool, then chill for anytime between 4 hours up to 2 days, the longer you leave it the more intense the flavours become. If serving to young children, take the chilli out after a few hours.
When you are ready to serve, pour the juice into a jug. Serve in glass bottles or glasses with straws. If you are adding vodka, do so at this stage. Dangle the fangs sweets from each glass or bottle as a ghoulish garnish.
