
- 4 brioche buns
- 250g halloumi cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp hummus
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tbsp salsa
STEP 1
Start by slicing the halloumi block into thick pieces. You can decide the thickens as per your liking.
STEP 2
Place a grill pan on medium heat. Once it heats up, drizzle olive oil and place halloumi slices. Cook them for 3 to 4 minutes or until they get a beautiful golden colour. You can also use an outdoor griller for this purpose. The main aim is to get a nice char and colour on the halloumi slices.
STEP 3
Once done, set them aside.
STEP 4
Cut the buns in half and toast them by placing them flat side down on the grill until they get a colour.
STEP 5
Spread hummus on both buns. Place grill halloumi slice, tomato slice, onion slice, and lettuce leaf. Top it up with fresh salsa and place the bun on top.
STEP 6
Serve alongside sweet potato fries.
