- 1kg steak, cut into 2.5cm cubes
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 500ml Burgundy
- 200ml stock
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed to a paste with 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 350g small onions, peeled but left whole
- 250g thick cut bacon, cut into lardons
- 150g whole button mushrooms
STEP 1
Brown the meat and transfer to the Swan Slow Cooker bowl.
STEP 2
Cook the sliced onions until soft and add to the bowl.
STEP 3
Fry the bacon lightly and add to the bowl with all the other ingredients.
STEP 4
Cook on HIGH for 6 hours, on LOW for 8 hours or on AUTO for at least 6 hours.
STEP 5
Serve your delicious boeuf bourguignonne with buttered noodles or green salad.
