- 200g caster sugar
- 2 clementines
- 1 stick of cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons nutmeg
- Cloves
- peels of 1 lemon
- peels of 1 lime
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 2 bottles of your favourite red wine
STEP 1
Peel large sections of 1 clementine, the lime, and lemon
STEP 2
Put the sugar in the slow cooker along with the peelings
STEP 3
Push cloves into remaining clementine and add to slow cooker - then add all other ingredients except the wine
STEP 4
Add just enough wine to cover the ingredients and put the slow cooker on high for around 20 mins or until all sugar is dissolved
STEP 5
When dissolved add the rest of the wine and turn the slow cooker on to low, by doing this you won’t cook the alcohol away
STEP 6
Let it warm through (around 30 minutes)
STEP 7
Serve and enjoy
