On the 5th of August 2020, Instagram decided to introduce Instagram Reels. And in 2020, we all needed entertaining videos to scroll through- more than ever! With TikTok and Instagram Reels keeping us busy during National Lockdown periods, this was the first time we all virtually had the world and each other at our fingertips from the confinement of our households.
Even now that restrictions have lifted and the world is slowly going back to normal, we still need funny and uplifting clips to watch. So, with January lasting forever, we couldn’t resist but gather an encouraging collection of our top 5 performing (and unmissable) Instagram Reels of 2021.

With the massive amount of comments this video received, we’re guessing this is something you all resonated with quite a bit. The clip shows a Family Mum trying to relax with a cup of tea, while the entire audio is taken over by crying children noises. This accurate video shows us how common this situation is and how rare it is to have a minute of peace when there are little ones in the house!

2. A Very Easy Vegetarian Pasta Dish
The likes received for this Instagram Reel were off the charts! We all love a good recipe, especially when it’s as easy as this one. The result looks incredibly delicious, and the prep only involves a pan and something to mix the ingredients. This is perfect for a lunch idea for work or for a quick food fix when you’re on limited time. It’s safe to say that most of us struggle for time to cook and clean three times a day, so a recipe like this has understandably taken the world by storm.

3. Pink Living Room Decor Ideas
Here, influencer @homeofcc has displayed an interior set-up like no other. With a snow-like filter, this pinker than pink living room is what dreams are made of. This unique clip was what we needed to see at Christmas, a modern and unreal take on what Christmas décor could look like. We love a traditional and festive décor, but this Instagram Reel took the season to the next level.

4. UK Beach Holiday Inspiration
This Instagram Reel is what we needed in 2021, and with most of us not being able to travel abroad, we were all left looking for the next best thing. The video walks us down some steps down to a beach with an unreal bluer than blue ocean ahead. And we know what a blue ocean means, a blue sky!
Many of you didn’t believe that the location in the clip was from the UK, and lots of you commented in demand to know where it was! Well, if you scroll down far enough on @nospaceinmypassport‘s profile, you’ll see that it was Cornwall!

It’s apparent that as adults, we all need tea/coffee to get us through even the smallest of daily tasks. And, what better way to start the day than to get those creative juices flowing with this Teddy Bear Latte. @coffee.girl00‘s Latte art is creative, unique and super popular according to it being our 5th top performing Instagram Reel of 2021!
