
- 100g bar chocolate at least 60% cocoa
- 1 orange
- 500ml milk
- 1 tbsp Cointreau (or as desired…)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Whipped cream optional - but definitely recommended!
STEP 1
Gently heat the milk over low heat.
STEP 2
Continuously stir as the milk can burn fast! Add the cinnamon stick and the orange zest then let simmer for the aromatics to infuse.
STEP 3
Remove the cinnamon stick. Break the bar of chocolate into pieces for easy melting. When the chocolate is completely melted, add the juice of half of an orange.
STEP 4
Add the Cointreau to taste and stir. Increase the temperature to medium heat. Do not stop stirring. Wait until the chocolate starts to bubble slowly and remove immediately from the stove.
STEP 5
Serve and top with whipped cream.
STEP 6
For an added touch; grate over the chocolate and some orange zest.
